Jay Silberblatt negotiated a six figure settlement of a case involving a dog’s attack of a jogger. The attack caused the jogger to stumble and fall, resulting in several broken bones in her right foot. The serious injuries necessitated several surgeries and many months of non-weight bearing. The surgeries were complicated, requiring a thorough understanding of the techniques employed by the orthopedic surgeon in order to properly advocate for our client’s interest.

Jay N. Silberblatt is a 1977 cum laude graduate of Allegheny College where he received Departmental Honors in American Studies. He earned his law degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1980 where he served as a Senior Writer on the Law Review. Jay recently concluded service as the 128th President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He has served as Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Civil Litigation Section and as Chair of the Civil Litigation Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association. He is a member of House of Delegates of both the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and he is the Immediate Past-Chair of the PBA Professional Liability Committee.
