Jay Silberblatt is not only a frequent contributor to legal periodicals, many of his articles have appeared in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. HIs most recent article, dealing with medical malpractice reform dispelled a number of myths about "tort reform" and was greeted with great interest. His article on releases dealt with a complicated subject in a straight-forward manner.

Jay N. Silberblatt is a 1977 cum laude graduate of Allegheny College where he received Departmental Honors in American Studies. He earned his law degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1980 where he served as a Senior Writer on the Law Review. Jay recently concluded service as the 128th President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He has served as Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Civil Litigation Section and as Chair of the Civil Litigation Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association. He is a member of House of Delegates of both the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and he is the Immediate Past-Chair of the PBA Professional Liability Committee.
