Silberblatt Installed as the 128th President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association

On May 13, 2022, Jay Silberblatt was installed as the 128th President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.  Pennsylvania Chief Justice Max Baer administered the oath of office at the PBA’s Annual Meeting in Hershey.  Over the next year, Jay will represent the PBA throughout the state.  The major initiative for his presidential term is the creation of a Taskforce on a statewide system for the electronic filing and retrieval of legal papers across all 60 Common Pleas Court districts.

Jay N. Silberblatt

Jay N. Silberblatt is a 1977 cum laude graduate of Allegheny College where he received Departmental Honors in American Studies. He earned his law degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1980 where he served as a Senior Writer on the Law Review. Jay recently concluded service as the 128th President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.  He has served as Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Civil Litigation Section and as Chair of the Civil Litigation Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association. He is a member of House of Delegates of both the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and he is the Immediate Past-Chair of the PBA Professional Liability Committee.
