The death of an older gentleman who was struck by a car while crossing a street in Pittsburgh was recently settled by Merle Kramer Mermelstein. On first blush, there appeared to be inadequate insurance coverage. However, through careful investigation, Merle learned that the defendant driver was working at the time of the accident, resulting in additional insurance coverage from the employer that was tapped to provide the family with full and fair compensation for their loss.
